Two of the main reasons why I love what I do are the people I get to meet and the places I get to travel to.
Ariana and Tim have been good friends of mine for the last few years but strangely enough we had never met until earlier this year. You see, the two of them call New Zealand home and through our personal photography blogs we met and quickly became friends, living parallel lives in different countries. Then late last year, Tim got down on one knee and proposed to his beautiful Ariana and wedding plans began.
One of those plans, of course, was choosing a photographer and they thought it would make sense to have me fly over to shoot their wedding and join in on the celebrations. It was an obvious YES from me.
So come March this year, I flew over to Dunedin situated on the gorgeous coast line of South Island, New Zealand and met my dear for the first time face-to-face. It was incredibly surreal.
We chatted for hours as they drove me around their hometown. We stopped atop cliffs to overlook the township and the gorgeous views, we ate meals together and spoke about the wedding. It was as although we had always lived in the same country.
A few days before the wedding we decided to go out and snap some pre-wedding/engagement photos. These two were no strangers to the camera and with a NZ backdrop I knew this session was going to be a beauty. I wasn't wrong.
But if you think this is beautiful....just wait till I blog their wedding <3 xx
